Well we finally made it to our apartment pool, it opened a bit ago but Stephen has had to work on the weekends for the field along with work and then we all caught the stomach flu which was SO horrible. Braelyn started throwing up a few days after i got the stomach flu and i knew right then it was going to be a VERY LONG night. Poor girl, i felt like the worst mom for getting her sick, and i felt bad having to hold a cup around her all the time just in case she couldn't keep her food down! I hate being sick and having sick kids, luckily Stephen didn't get the throw up kind but was still sick from me as well :( But we all got better and the field ended and so we finally got to the pool for the first time this summer and it was Braelyn's first time in a pool! It was a lot of fun, she loved splashing daddy and mommy and playing in the water. Daddy dunked her and i don't think she really liked that, she's probably a little young for that one! LOL but all in all we didn't get burnt so that made it great. Also this fourth stephen had duty for the weekend so we weren't able to see the fireworks at fort carson but we did go to a bbq which was pretty fun and celebrated the holiday. Braelyn wore her 4th of July outfit and looked like a cutie!...and i didn't take my nice camera to the pool so the pictures arent the most amazing quality but still good!

Well it has been awhile again since i have updated and things just keep getting in the way of me updating or i keep putting things before updating this blog. Goodness i am trying but i really need to step it up!

Well, i'm trying to think of what we have been up to first and formost..........

Braelyn got her ears pierced about three weeks ago!!! She looks absolutely adorable in them, it was a really good decision to get them i think. We had them done at The Icing in the mall and she really didn't mind them getting pierced, well to an extent, but what really frustrated her was her daddy holding her head while they drew the dots on her. She did not like that one bit to say the least and threw a big tantrum. I felt bad for the girl trying to get those dots drawn! But she got through it and daddy held her forhead and hands and got them all pierced and pretty. She cried for a few minutes bc i think it more scared her if anything bc she was not expecting that, but by the time we were walking over to see the cute puppies she was all better...She loves the puppies!!!

Braelyn has one tooth still but it's coming in really good and she likes to try and bite us with it, she thinks it is funny! She is walking around while holding onto things so still doing the same. She had her last appointment and she was in the 90th percentile for her height so she is going to be very tall like Daddy, and she is in the 35ish percentile for her weight so she might be tall and skinny...something i have always wanted for sure!

We recently had Stephen's parents up for Memorial Day weekend and we stayed very busy and had a blast visiting and playing with them. They got in on Thurs night so we just visited with them and took it easy.

Friday Morning we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which was A TON of fun. We all fed the Giraffes some lettuce and it was just so funny, about a zillion of them would all come up to you and stick out their tongues just hoping you would pick them to eat their yummy lettuce! Braelyn fed them with the help of Grandma and Grandpa and i think one actually touched Braelyn with its tongue! i about freaked when i looked at the pictures and realized that bc during that time i was laughing so hard bc it was just too cute and funny! We roamed around the zoo looking at all the cool animals, ate some lunch, and headed up to the Shrine of the Sun. It's a really neat building at the top of the mountain that overlooks the whole city, the view was absolutely stunning and beautfiul. But it had a whole bunch of history about the man who built that and it actually had a chapel at the bottom where a few people were buried, i can't remember who it was, but that was a cool building! Later we all went out to eat at Golden Corral, (i know my Dad would be so jealous cuz it's his favorite), but i fell in love with their fried baby shrimp, they were so delish!!!

Saturday we went to the Air Force museum which was so interesting, i learned so much there! We actually got a 2 hour tour from a neat gentlemen who was just overflowing with information and really knew what he was talking about and loved what he was doing! After we went to the Carriage Museum which was really neat as well, it was so interesting to see how far we have come in technology now days!

Sunday we went to church and relaxed and watched some Wipe Out which always throws in some nice giggles! Later we had to say goodbye but we did have one eventful weekend full of fun! Thanks for coming up Grandma and Grandpa Barclay! We loved seeing you!

Well other than that Stephen celebrated his big 26 BDAY a few days ago and he made a request that i make him CHEESECAKE for his bday, and let me just say i was pretty proud of my cheesecake, and i branched out and made a strawberry glaze for it as well, which was a little too thick when it cooled so i could have watered it down a bit. But all in all way SUPER YUMMY! We also went over to a friend's house to celebrate and eat some yummy food. Stephen got to play his video games with his friend which probably made his BDAY supurb cuz i don't really like the video games too much. All in all a good day and i gave him a pretty funny card that i found many a weeks ago and was excited to see his reaction!

Today we also are celebrating our 2nd anniversary and my parents just celebrated their 30th yesterday!!! Wow how time really flies by! I remember getting married in the Boise Temple just like it was yesterday and road trippin here to Colorado, being two young love birds and enjoying the "single life" i like to call it when it was just me and stephen and then finding out we were prego and giving birth to my baby girl just like it was yesterday but so much has happened so quick and our lives are continually changing and growing! We have been so blessed with everything we have and for Braelyn and where we are in our lives! I am such a lucky woman to marry such an amazing and loving man/father and i can't wait to have every moment of every day for the rest of eternity to grow and learn and to love each other all the more!

Well not too much has been going on in the Barclay home. I have been couponing a lot like usual, but i love it! I have been planning a baby shower for my friend here in Colorado, and taking care of the kids (and by kids i mean Braelyn and Midnight!). I have been loving Craigslist and we bought Braelyn a new swing, she actually likes it a lot better that her other one but she probably won't be using it much being that she is so big now.... It's more for our other kids too that we will be having eventually :D! But we did get her a high chair from craigslist too bc she is such a big girl. There have been a few times where she would be sitting on the table in her bumboo to eat and tries to slip out of it and has almost succeeded and given mom a heart attack, so that was no bueno and i didn't like fighting her to sit down in it so it was time for a high chair. Braelyn is growing so much, i just can't believe she is almost 8 months old. A part of me makes me sad bc i want her to be that tiny baby that i had almost 8 months ago, but the other part of me is like she is way easier to watch now then when she was tiny, and i just love waking up each day wondering what new things Braelyn is going to learn and do. She makes me smile and laugh every day bc she really is so silly.... I really love being a Mom and having such a sweet girl to look after. Stephen is winding down on his army days, just about 5 months now until we move back. Both of us are excited yet nervous for the change into civilian life and him going to school and me working hopefully, but i know it will all work out. Stephen recently fought in a combatives tournament, and i'm sure all of you heard about the story. To make long story short, Stephen ended up getting punched in the face above his eye with a huge goose egg which turned out to be a nice black eye, but what made me so angry is there was no punching allowed and the other dude didn't even get called for it. I am trying to get over that but i am very bitter about it and want to punch that guy right in the face!!, but i guess i won't....too bad :D! But yes he was all tough about it and was like it's nothing....i just don't understand men and wanting to fight for fun!? Doesn't sound very fun to me, but hey i'm a girl.

Our family is excited for Colorado to start heatin up so we can enjoy the outdoors and hopefully go hiking and swimming and camping. I'm pretty sure this Summer will be a lot better than the last bc i wasn't carrying around a huge protrusion from my tummy! YEAH!!! I'm just really excited to show Braelyn all the new things out there and excited to show her the swimming pool here and to see her in her cute little bathing suit!

I keep saying that i want to get better at blogging and i really am trying, but i still need to pick up my game a little better, so bear with me!!!

the Barclay Update :D

Well i have been very bad about updating my blog, my sister has been nagging me to update this bc it's been like WAY out of date so i figured i should probably get everyone up to date on the life at the Barclay Home because a lot has been going on :D. We went home in December for Christmas leave and really enjoyed seeing everyone and spending lots of fun hours together playing games and trying out our new Just Dance game, it was especially fun to see my Dad do a Hip Hop number! (He hates all the Hip Hop stuff so it was absoulutely hilarious!!) And all the boys, by that i mean Eric, Andrew, and Stephen did a indian chant kind of dance one that was flippin hilarious too. Christmas leave went by way too fast which both Stephen and i knew it would bc it always does, but we were hoping that it wouldn't.

Stephen went to NTC yet again in Death Valley, Cali playing his Army games with the other boys. Braelyn and I stayed in Idaho while he was there so that we could spend more time with the family. I stayed very busy for the month visiting people, doing crafts, sleeping a lot, taking care of Miss Braelyn, and i mostly spent my time couponing, oh how i miss Rite Aid. We don't have one here in Colorado so whenever i go to visit i always make trips to Rite Aid to do my couponing. The whole time i was there i ended up spending $50 and getting $1050 worth of stuff....it was one of my very best coupon trips and i loved every minute of it!
We left Boise on February 1st and Stephen came back from NTC on February 2nd, so we timed it just perfectly! We spent a little while getting back in the groove of things and getting settled back into our apartment in the Springs.

Just recently Stephen surprised me the weekend of Valentines with a marriage retreat in the mountains. It was just so much fun, i really didn't know what to expect. It was all put on by the military and we stayed in beautiful cabins at Bear Trap Ranch. It went on for three days and every day we went to "class" to learn about The Five Love Languages book. Stephen had just finished reading the book so it was really fun for him to know all the stuff, (he felt pretty cool). I was a little hesitant about leaving Braelyn in childcare while we were in class, but we checked it out and Mommy had to "man up" and let Braelyn play with the other kids for once. I think it was harder on Mommy than Braelyn. The first time i came back and Braelyn was sitting in her Bumbo getting a little restless and a girl maybe about 2 yrs old was pattin Braelyn on the head very gently trying to help comfort her and was handing her toys to play with and even put the Bink in Braelyn's mouth. I thought this was absolutely adorable, she was such a sweet little girl! I was so glad that she like Braelyn. While there we were able to go ice skating on their little rink and played some intense fooze ball/ping pong with our cabin roomies and had very delicous food may i add!!! The whole weekend was SO much fun

Onto our little Braelyn...she is growing So much! I keep wondering where my little girl went, she is not so little anymore, but she is so fun! She definately keeps me very busy! She has been getting very close to crawling, she gets on her knees now and rocks back and forth, and she has been crawling backwords!! haha! We recently started her on baby cereal a little after we got back from leave. She did not like the cereal at first, and she probably didn't get anything into her mouth in the end, but it was cute to see all her funny faces with the food. Braelyn loves her brother Midnight, and it's really cute to see her get excited when she sees him, she will just stare him down and wait for her kisses, and he gets excited to play with her as well. I'm so very glad that they get along! Braelyn just turned 6 months and went to the Dr. to get her shots and just for a well baby check up! Braelyn is doing great, she weight 16 lbs. 4 oz and is 26 inches long! I love this girl so much, she is the greatest blessing to our family!

As for me, i have been just playin Mommy and takin care of my two little kids! I have continued to spend my time couponing as usual, and just started using Swag Bucks which i am absolutely excited about. I'm still getting to know about it, but so far i have earned 2 $5 amazon gift cards and a $25 gift card to Restaurant.com and i've been doing it for only two weeks! I have also been trying to do better on my weight loss goals, i am going to try and go to the gym 4 times a week and to do probably jillian michaels on the other two days...i really need to get my weight under control!!!! Other than that the family has been doing great! Both Stephen and I are excited to be done and to start our next adventure in life and to move back to Boise! I'm hoping i can be better about updating this blog, i know i keep saying that, but i'm hoping maybe this time :D

Oh and by the way i have been takin pictures without my new camara and i have been so sad!!! I forgot my battery charger in Boise and thought Stephen took it home with him in January but come to find out it was in Boise, but i should be gettin a new charger today...i am so happy! Time to take lots of pics!

Braelyn's First Plane Ride!!

Braelyn had her first plane ride on September 10th to Idaho Falls. Stephen had to go to the field for about two weeks so i decided it would be easier to come home and have family and friends during that time and it would give Braelyn a chance to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Barclay for the first time and her and to see Grandma and Grandpa Bird again :D!

We flew into Idaho Falls to surprise my sister Amanda and her family along with my moms side of the family! It was a lot of fun and it was even better to see my family's expressions when they saw me there! They were quite surprised to say the least...it was so great! One of the greatest surprises was seeing my bestie cousin Lindsay who i haven't seen since i got married and we both just enjoyed the time together cuz we didn't know the next time we would be able to be together again! It was a great reunion :D We spent a few days there in Idaho Falls and then we drove back to Boise w/ my parents.

We had fun spending time at my parents house and seeing Braelyn's Grandma and Grandpa Barclay for the very first time, and they took care of Braelyn a lot to let me catch up on my sleep to THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! I caught up with lots of friends and family i haven't seen in a long time and a lot of them hadn't seen me prego and then i came home with a baby....it was kind of funny! The week actually went really fast even tho i was missing Stephen like crazy and thinkin about him every day! I was just really happy that i was able to talk to Stephen while he was playin his army games...it made it easier for me to hear his voice. We left on the 18th with more than we came with of course including like a million clothes and shoes that the Pflegers bought for me which were all so CUTE so THANK YOU SO SO MUCH, We are so very greatful! We miss all of our family in BOise and hope to visit again soon (probably Christmas time), and this time Stephen will be with me! :D

BABY BRAELYN!!!!

Well i figured i needed to get on here and update about our lives since so much has changed since the last post was at the end of MARCH!!! Wow i'm so very sorry, i should get better at finding some time to let everyone know what's going on, but some days just seem so busy and tiring!

But the middle of August we had our BEAUTIFUL girl BRAELYN JO BARCLAY! I was very relieved to have her after goin over 10 DAYS! YIKES! I just hadn't been feeling very many Braxton Hicks and the my midwife was encouraging me to get my membranes stripped after i had not gone into labor on my own! I went into the hospital to get my membranes stripped and got hooked up with the monitors on my stomach cuz i guess it's just somethin they do every time you go in. I sat there with Stephen for awhile and the nurse came in to check my progress and asked me if i was feeling alright and if i was in pain. I looked at her a little confused and told her that i felt great, and she told me that this whole time being monitored i was having contractions! It was weird bc i knew my stomach got tight at times, but i just thought that was Braelyn stickin out! After i got them stripped for the first time we headed over to a friend's house to watch some movies! I started getting some cramps that felt pretty mild, but they started to get worse and more painful, but i just thought they were the Braxton Hicks. They kept coming quite frequently and closer together and instantly i got scared and excited bc i just knew that this could be the real thing! We finally went into the hospital when they got about 4 minutes apart and i got hooked up with all the cool gadgets to monitor the baby and the contractions!

The contractions kept getting stronger, but i was still dilated to a two and i needed to dilate to at least a three or four, so Stephen and i walked for two hours around the hospital at like one in the morning to see if i was going to make any progress with the dilation. When we had walked our two hours we went back and i was still the same, i was so frustrated cuz i just wanted this baby out at this point! They sent us home and i stopped gettin the contractions so we just waited each day to see if i would get the contractions again and nothing happened!

At day ten overdue we were scheduled to be induced! We went in about 7:30 to 8:00 at night and was started on the Pitocin to get my contractions goin. I was in labor for about 12 1/2 hours and finally gave birth to our precious girl Braelyn at 8:37 in the morning. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! Labor was definately the hardest thing i have ever done but i was just so glad that Stephen was there to help motivate me when i felt like i couldn't deal with the pain or push any longer, or when i needed about a million back massages! I just know that everything i went through and all the pain i felt went away right when i saw her! She was just worth it all, i would just do it all over again and that's sayin a lot right there! We love Braelyn so much and we are so blessed to have her in our family! We are still getting use to this parenting thing but i think were are adjusting quite well and enjoying all the fun, messy, and frustrating times together as a family :D!

Well It's official everybody.....IT'S A GIRL...And we even have proof!!!! We found out on Saturday when i got my ultra sound, and it was such an amazing experience for both me and Stephen! She definately didn't want to stay still and was kicking and moving every which way, and the fun part about it was we saw it all on the screen! I can't wait to bring this Baby Girl into the world now!!! But in the meantime we still got to get her room and everything ready for her so i'm sure we will be very busy! I am a little over 21 weeks now and i'm feeling actually really well, just still very tired but i am lucky that i have time to take some nice naps! I will try to take a pic of the belly soon and post it! :D

My Valentine!!!!

Well we had a great Valentine's Day together!!! We actually celebrated it on Saturday being that it was really on Sunday, which makes it hard to go out and do things! I woke up on Saturday morning and was lying in our bed and Stephen got up and went out the front door, i just thought he was grabbing his tax forms bc he was going to work on filing our taxes. So i got up and took Midnight out to go potty and there is my Handsome husband holding a chocolate rose and a bouquet of beautiful flowers...I'm such a lucky girl :D! We also had an agreement, i thought, that we weren't going to get each other anything, but of course he just couldn't follow that rule, but i'm not complaining!

That morning we made some heart shaped sugar cookies which turned out really well...i was so excited! Probably only half of the cookies got frosted bc the other half of the cookie dough was already in my tummy!!!! I got ready for the day and we went out to Chili's restaurant and stuffed our faces with unlimited salad, soup, and salsa and chips!! I think we definately ate our moneys worth! We later headed over to the new Valentine's movie, and it was really cute! Later we just relaxed on the couch and watched Saturday night movie on ABC which was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, man it's been awhile since i've seen those movies! Saturday was just a fun day of me and my hubby hanging out and enjoying being in LOVE more and more every day!!!!!

Oh and you also might have noticed my hair looks a little different....idk in a good or bad way yet! The Thursday before Valentine's day i went to get highlights in my hair and i think i misunderstood what the hair dresser was saying and actually got my hair basically dyed!!! It's brown with blonde highlights right now and i am majorly missing my red locks!!!! I also cut a bunch off of my hair just bc i needed a change, but now i'm experimenting on finding ways to do my hair now that it's short!! I'm sure it will be just fine...it will just take some coping :D

Well Wednesday was quite the exciting day for me and Stephen! I had my first official visit to the Doctors to hear the babys heart beat, but he took an ultrasound instead. It was so amazing that you could see the babys heart beating so fast and you could actually see our baby(we will call it steleste) growing in my tummy! I thought we wouldn't see steleste til a while down the road being that he almost 14 weeks in growing!!!! It was such a great moment for me and daddy to see our little steleste and the progress he's making, and to find out he is growing just as he/she should be!!! We still have to wait about 7 weeks or so to find out the gender so i'm sure the anticipation is going to drive me nuts!!!

Well it has been quite the eventful weeks!! Stephen and I found out that we were going to be parents on December 14 when we finally decided to get an official pregnancy test at the doctor and sure enough i was preggo!!!! I had been feeling quite weird i guess and knew something was different and had bought two different pregnancy tests at the store and we were shocked when they both were pregnant! We still weren't positive that i was...we were thinking maybe it's just false and saying i'm pregnant but sure enough to confirm it all was the Dr's visit! We are both were VERY nervous about this whole adventure being that i have never been pregnant before, but are very excited to add a little one to our family in August!

A few days after we found out we were pregnant we went down to Boise to be with our families for two weeks to celebrate Christmas and New Years together! We kept the pregnancy a secret from most (with the exception of me telling my mom :D) and told everybody of our good news when we got in town! We had a very relaxing vacation...saw friends and family....partied it up with lots of games and lots of Super Mario Brothers and of course you can't forget the great food that Christmas brings along with the added pounds! We saw The Blind Side, Sherlock Holmes, The Princess and the Frog, Invictus, and Avatar! I love the time at the movies mainly just because we never go that often because they are so expensive so this was a great treat!!!

Before we left we were fortunate enough to get a beautiful puppy chihauhau from Stephen's cousin! We named our little boy Midnight and we are grateful for the blessing he brings to our family and especially for me so i can have someone to keep my company during the day. We have been potty training him for a week and half or so and he has caught on quite quick and stands by the door now to let us know he needs to go! He sleeps a ton during the day so of course we get along just great because i love my naps as well! He is very playful of course and loves to cuddle! Stephen is going to try and teach Midnight some tricks so we will see how that goes :D

Also...one last thing i can't forget....the day we were leaving my sister gave birth to my beautiful Nephew Jayden Andrew!! It was so fun to see him in the hospital and we were grateful she had him while we were there so we could see him! I will try to get pics up of baby Jayden once i get them.

We are excited for the months to come and how they are going to change our lives for the good! We love yo uall and hope you are enjoying your new year and hope you have made some goals as well!

Back In CoLoraDo wIth My HuSbaNd

Well i'm back in Colorado with my wonderful husband. The day i came home I opened our apartment door and there were rose petals on the floor all the way up to our bedroom where there was beautiful music playing and Beautiful roses with a stuffed animal and some sparkling cider and a beautiful writeen poem by my wonderful husband (and he worked so hard the whole day in getting the house cleaned bc he knows how i love my clean house)!! How do i even deserve this man??? It was so great to be home with a loving husband :D!

Anyways...Stephen and I have been trying to get out and do more fun things! We recently visited the Garden of the Gods Park and it was absolutely beautiful! We walked around and admired the scenery and watched some people rock climbing which was pretty cool! It was good to just get out and relax with beautiful surroundings!

We also have been to the movies finally after our marriage....Movie tickets are just outrageously expensive....especially for newlyweds!!! We went and saw A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey(My favorite actor) .....it was super good and we really enjoyed it! We also found our new favorite theater...the 1.50 THEATER...way better than the full price tickets! We went and saw G.I Joe and Harry Potter and the half blood prince. I just can't believe we have waited so long and haven't seen these movies!!!

We have also had fun getting free food at applebees for the military deals...and showing our mad skills off in bowling! I don't even think i got over 100 but it was just fun to be with Stephen again! We are not going home for Thanksgiving but are planning to go over to a friends house with other soldiers and their spouses...so i am looking forward to that and the GOOD food :D Life Is Great...I can't complain!!!

Well it has been a very fun 5 1/2 weeks with my family...but i'm sure missin my husband :(! Stephen left to Cali to train for Iraq for 5 1/2 weeks so I flew here to Idaho to be with my family during that time! They have actually kept me quite busy! We went up to Idaho falls during the first part i was here to see my sister Amanda and my brother in law Eric! My dad helped out with their sprinklers while us girls went to the super saturday and painted some wooden joy letters, etched on glass dishes, had yummy soup and rolls, and learned how to make and dip candy :)! It was so much fun! I've also been helping my mom and dad feed some horses for a lady my dad home teaches because she has had surgery and is not able to...so that has also been a very fun experience! I've been keeping myself very busy hanging out and catching up with my people i haven't seen in a bit, and getting all my stuff changed over to my married name, and doing a lot of errands and christmas presents...and i was even able to go to work at my old dental office to work for a few days which was so good to get back into! Can't wait to work again :) And i was also able to do some.............COUPONING!!! What a surprise huh?

I had a ton of time to sit and print coupons and scope out the ads for some pretty thrifty deals! I even got my mom into couponing with me which has been fun so i don't have to go by myself...if only they had a rite aid up there! I've actually have been quite busy finding the deals for me and my mom and getting everything all sorted out and ready for us to shop every monday :D I acutally ended up MAKING MONEY this coupon trip...so that has been an even better bonus!

Anyways i can't wait to go back to Colorado to see my husband after such a long time....three days and counting! :D I don't know how i'm going to get everything home...but i guess we'll just see!!!!

We had a really fun day at the Zoo yesterday for military appreciation day!!! We saw lots of cool animals that I didn't know they had at this zoo like Hippos and Penguins!!! Well we have had some really fun times during the past two weeks...we went home for Labor Day to see both of the families!! I wasn't feeling well the day we were leaving...went to the Doctor, and sure enough, I had a UTI...so not fun! But i was able to get some antibiotics before going to Idaho, so I was feeling better after a few days! Anywho...Of course the time went way too fast, but it was fun to hang out with everybody and to spend good time together since our marriage! The 12 hour drive was really long and quite boring through some parts, but i think Stephen and I would agree that it was very worth it!! :D
Stephen and I just started watching the Smallville series together, which I loved watching at home, so we stole the first series from my parents house and started watching it!!! We have been running on post at Iron Horse Park, but i guess I still am not accustomed to the difference in altitude, and i haven't been in the running mood much, and i was definately feeling it the lack of it for sure!
We Made some homemade pizza last night which turned out very well, and i am very proud :D This weekend we are planning to go to the zoo and maybe ride the mountain ride that will take us through the mountains and such....should be exciting and very beautiful!
Next Thursday I am going home for 5 1/2 weeks while Stephen goes to training In Cali! I'm very excited to spend time at home again, but I am going to miss my man very much....but i know he will do very well! We will have to go back to the old dating times...calling each other on the phone, but won't have to buy a million phone cards this time :D
Anywho...We are both doing very well...still head over hills in LoVe!!! Life is great! We are very blessed!

Well Stephen and I have been doing some pretty good team work on getting food for really cheap w/ coupons...and i really don't know what we would do without coupons...saves up about 250.00 each month on groceries alone...so so grateful!!! Stephen helped me with one of our more current shopping trips to albertsons for a lot of cereal and lots of snacks!!! We used lots of coupons and did a few reabates for the items but in the end we got 40 items for $15.85, which originally would have cost us $120.00 plus tax....an amazingly cheap deal!!!! Maybe i should just bring my hubby with me every time i go bargain shopping...i think he's my lucky charm!! I'm sure more couponing and more fun adventures are to come...and boy are they an AdVeNtUrE sometimes!!! LOL :)

Well yesterday was quite the eventful day....starting off with me feeling sick this morning, so i spent a good chunk of the morning resting to get away from all the sickness. I went and did my coupon shopping at king soopers for my super deals...and then went over to wal mart to pick up some bread and things we needed for the next month. It was all going well...got checked out...food in the car...and started on my way home bc stephen was already home and i wanted to see him! A huge storm had started with lighting and hail and rain coming down so fast my wipers were on the highest setting and it was still hard to see out!! YIKES!!! So the story is... around where we live there are some hill-like roads the cars have to go over back and from wal mart...so of course my amazing car does not like them at all! i get over one hill and all is well...get over the second hill and then my car dies!!! I drift over to the side of the road as much as i can and i can't believe the situation i'm in...my car dies in the middle of the pouring rain...i mean POURING RAIN with tons of lightning and thunder, i'm new to colorado...my family and people i know are in Idaho...i know only a few people here, and Stephen would usully still be at work at this time. Luckily stephen had gotten off a little early yesterday so he was able to come pick me up and to push our car to the cemmetery while we went to get jumper cables and a tow rope! my car ended up starting...we made it back safely...came back in time to eat dinner, got tucked in by my husband, and we watched the Bachelorette finale together!! And to make it even better Jillian dumped Kipton and picked Ed...that was a mistake! Anyways hopefully today will be a better day :)!

well for the story i got started into couponing while in Idaho and i have been getting sunday newspapers for about four months now for the coupons in them and i have gotten some pretty smokin hot deals on stuff!! If you really want to know how much stuff we have gotten on good deals alone....you can ask stephen about the never ending supply of t.p.(we have too much so we had to put them in the storage area outside our apartment), shampoo/gel/body wash/deodarant/razors, bbq sauce, salad dressings, and VELVEETA SHELLS AND CHEESE!! I love couponing to help save us some extra money, especially being newlyweds, and it makes me feel pretty good when i come home from a shopping spree and i tell my husband how much money i saved us in coupons...i think he secretly likes it too!!! Well i went to King Soopers today to use some of my coupons that i matched up with the ad last night.....this purchase would have originally cost me $19.17 but with coupons that i found and w/ King Soopers doubling coupons up to $1 i got it all for a grand total of ..... $1.36!!!!! It was an awesome deal!!!!

Well this weekend was pretty fun....this friday we went out with some friends and went mini golfing which was very fun and eventful to say the least...couldn't seem to get the stupid ball in the hole but i had a lot of fun attempting to and probably looking really dumb at the same time :)

Also this weekend we were able to attend a picnic/get together with some of the other soldiers in Stephens batallion to play games and to eat some yummy food. I watched on the side-lines as Stephen took out everyone w/ his studliness playin softball :)...and he took out his seargent on the home base which i did not get on camera but was very hilarious to watch!!! We played a little bit of horseshoes which again i'm not too great at but still was pretty fun...watched some basketball...ate some food and hung out with the other soldiers there! It was a fun day :)

Well i have been horrible about keeping my blog up to date on all the exciting new adventures in our new lives together and i feel really bad! Stephen and I have been married for about 1 1/2 months...WOW HOW TIME FLIES!!!!!! We had an amazing wedding at the Boise Temple on June 6 which was so beautiful and we had so much support from family and friends on the very rainy day!!! Thank you so much for everybody who helped make our day so BeAuTiFuL and So SpEcIaL at the wedding, lunch-in, and reception.....it was the best day of our lives...and a big thank you to Phil and Taunya for the beautiful room that night at the Ameritel...and let me just add they had the best breakfasts ever which is a big plus :)!

It has been pretty busy here in CoLoRaDo SpRiNgS getting our apartment all organized and trying to find furniture to liven it up!! We love our wonderful air mattress that we have been sleeping on ever since we moved here and wonder if we are going to get a bed ever...jk we are in the works of finding a bed right now and will probably buy one here soon so no worries, I'm excited:)! Stephen and i have had a lot of fun making new friends, attending a new military ward, going on walks on post, going on dates w/ friends, celebrating the 4th with the fireworks show on post, taking advantage of our fitness center and relaxing pool/hot tub, and spending quality time together finally!!! The new adventures have been so fun here with my AMAZING and WONDERFUL husband! Stephen still spoils me by making me dinner, taking care of me when feeling down or sick, or giving me his amazing back rubs (this doesn't mean that you don't ever have to give me back rubs anymore DaD :)! Married Life is going great and we couldn't be any happier!!!! Thanks again everybody for all the support and all of your love!!! We love you all and miss you tons!

Well ive been pretty busy with my sister's wedding and her receptions and all the wedding plans and work. This last weekend my sister had her wedding reception in Iona which was pretty fun but good to be over too! We still are going to stay pretty busy with her other receptions in two weeks and my wedding and reception 3 weeks later....so you could say my fam is staying quite busy for awhile! The wedding is coming up soon and we are still getting things together!! I'm going down this weekend to colorado to visit stephen and to look for apartments for after we get married. Well everybody...good news....... i finally got my wisdom teeth out last friday...well actually i got the two lower ones out and i am waiting for the upper left tooth to come down more...but i only have one more to go bc i have no upper right wisdom tooth :) !! The bad news is that the right one is suffering from dry socket...probably the worst pain i have ever felt in my life...even worse than the pain with my hand surgery! So i asked Dr. Robison at my work to look at it before i knew what the pain was coming from, and sure enough it was dry socket!! Just my luck to get that huh??? They ended up packing this nasty brown stuff called septodont alveloar dressing in the socket and i have to say it is the nastiest stuff i have ever tasted, and it makes my breath smell horrible.. you can smell my breath across the room..its that bad!!! So the main message is dont get dry socket....it ruins your life, and it makes you suffer!!! haha but my gums are healing pretty well, but i still got the nasty brown stuff packed in them....can't wait til that's all done with and gone!!!

This year's Christmas was AMAZING!!!!! I was so sad bc i knew that Stephen was in Korea and that he would not be here for Christmas and he would be lonely spending Christmas by himself. I kept telling him that Santa wasn't real bc he wouldn't be here with me and that the only Christmas present he could give me was him for Christmas. The monday before Christmas was Noelle's b-day party and Heather asked that i would help her with decorations and food for the party so I went over a little early to help. Everyone eventually arrived to her party except my parents......they were late!! I heard a knock on the door and opened it thinking it would be my parents and there was my boy standing with pink roses and asked me if I believed in Santa now. I literally was speechless and so shocked.........I kept telling him all i wanted was him for Christmas and I really did get him for Christmas. It was such an amazing feeling. Oh and Christmas day was SOOO amazing...........Stephen and I got engaged! Stephen told me that he had something he wanted me to see and brought me upstairs in his house to watch it on his laptop. He started the clip and said he needed to grab something downstairs, and i kept watching. It first started out with him dressed like his evil twin... something we joke about all the time while he is gone in Korea. He was saying that it was getting down to picking Stephen or himself (the evil twin)... and as he was saying that Stephen came up and asked me who i was going to pick.....i told him i picked him and he told me that he had to ask me a question since i picked him...... he kneeled down and asked me if I would be Celeste Nicole Barclay and of course i said yes!!!!!!!!! Our song started playing as he asked me and we ended up dancing and holding each other as we cried our happy tears!!!! It was so amazing and cute and i am just so excited that i get a man like Stephen to marry. As for the rest of the time Stephen was here we have just been spending fun times together watching movies, relaxing, going out to eat, visiting family, making ginger bread houses, cuddling, shopping, and just being together finally!!!!!!!!!! It was the best 12 days of my life until it ended today.............i have been dreading this day the whole time! I went with him to the airport this morning around 5:30 or so and they ended up giving me a escort pass that allowed me to walk all the way to the gates with him before he left. It was the worst feeling when they called him to board his plane, and i think i was just freaking out in my head and just bawling all over him........Stephen probably thinks i'm such a baby :). We said our goodbyes and i watched as he walked onto the plane and we both waved goodbye. Now i'm just waiting to talk to him on the good old web cam!!! yeah for skype!!!!!!!! :)

Well it's been forever since i've done anything on my blog it seems like.....so i am going to try to get better at updating it. Stephen also is noticing that i've done nothing to it for a long time so they definately shows that i am being a slacker! :) Um......Thanksgiving was really fun! My family traveled to Utah to be with all my aunts, uncles, cousing....the whole gang. We had amazingly yummy food on Thanksgiving and played a bunch of games in the church! Of course we took naps after eating our yummy Thanksgiving feast like any normal person would do! :O The rest of the time down there i hung out with my cousins, had crazy fun times, went shopping of course, and just caught up on things as we blasted David Archuleta in the car wherever we would go.

I am working at the dental office where i externed at now and i am very excited for all the fun new adventures it will bring....and that have already brought me! :) Stephen is in Korea still....but he will be getting transferred over to Fort Carson, Colorado in the middle of January and then he's able to take leave to come visit in Idaho after he arrives in Colorado!!!!! I think this next year I'm going to be making lots of trips to Colorado to see my boy and I'm just so excited that he will be so close! It's been about 6 1/2 months since he has been gone and it has been over 4 months since we have been together...and a lot more months to come! Life is going great and I'm excited for this holiday season and the chance to be with my family and people i love this Christmas and i will be waiting to celebrate Christmas with Stephen when he comes in January...which i'm very anxious about!

Good news everyone....today is my last day working at shopko! i'm very sad to go.......not!!! :) I have about a week left of my externship and soon i will be working and getting paid as a dental assistant. I haven't quite been as good at blogging as i have in the past.....mostly cuz i've been working like crazy and i've been sick this week with something...but i'm trying not to make excuses. I came home from work on thursday...kind of having a bad day and really missing my boy and trying to not let it get to me at work...and i came home and found beautiful pink roses in a pink vase with a cute white ribbon sitting on the table. I asked my mom who the flowers were for and she kind of teased me about it and i eventually looked at the tag and found that they were from my amazing soldier boy in korea!!! He always finds ways to spoil me...especially when i don't deserve them in any way...but they were very amazing and wonderful and made my day! My boy is currently in the field right now...AGAIN! It seems like he is always going there and then it makes it really difficult to talk to him, well talk as much as we usually do :). He gets home from the field on Thursday and then we get to see if he gets to come home to visit...which i'm really hoping for but i'm not going to count on anything cuz if it doesn't get approved i don't want to be too disappointed, but i'm really hoping they will feel nice and approve it...that would definately be amazing and very much needed :)! Anyways other than that i'm just still externing at the dentist office, working at Shopko for another two weeks, loving my hottie boy, and trying to stay healthy! :) Life is great...and i'm very blessed!

................for the past few weeks or so i have been pretty stressed about finding an extern for dental assisting because i wanted to get done asap with my 300 extern hours to get my degree finally..but either nobody took externs or they already had them so i thought i was all out of luck. This week i got a call from an office where i had taken my resume at and i went to an interview on monday and worked there for the day tuesday....also another dental office called me and had me come in and work for them and they ended up giving me the extern position and to permanantly take over as a dental assistant in their office when i am done with my hours. This seriously is such a relief to me to actually find work and to actually be doing what i want and to enjoy working! I've only worked about 16 hours in the office so far but i'm learning a lot and having a great time and working towards getting my real degree and then i will be able to get paid for the work i'm doing! :)...but this week has been great and full of amazing surprises and also my boy didn't have to go back to the field this week so that just made it even more amazing because for the past two weeks he has been gone in the field,..... training and doing whatever those army people do there, but he did work extremely hard and i'm so glad he got a break from all that chaos and craziness! Stephen and I are doing amazing and lovin every minute together...and i'm just crossing my fingers that he will be able to come back to Idaho soon so I can see him cuz i am missing him and loving him like crazy!!! <3

well it's been a very long two weeks while stephen has been in the field working hard like usual and being so amazing, but i've been missing him like crazy!!!! We have still talked on the phone but i can't wait til i can actually see his cute smiley face again on skype...and i should be able to see him tonight well in a few hours or so...idk for sure, but i'm just so excited cuz i have missed my handsome boy so much!! i just know today is going to be a really good day now that i get to see him! <3

Talking to my boy at the rodeo......it was so good to hear his voice....kind of like he was there with me!!!!!!!!! :)

Friday night we had a rodeo for the the single adult branch and it was super fun!!! Tons of my friends went and we had a blast laughing, eating really yummy hamburgers and onion rings and french fries..............YUM...., and we watched people ride the mechanical bull which was flippin hilarious beyond all reason bc some people were just funny at it!!!!! and we danced and just hung out and chilled the whole night and later went and watched she's the man with the group which was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hilarious and kept me on the floor laughing!!! haha.....fun night!!!!!!!!

Today was a really nerve racking day for me....my very last day of dental assisting school! I have been stressing over this final exam for awhile now and it ended up not being bad at all and i did pass surprisingly!! haha :) The rain today definately made me more relaxed....well more than i was!!! Now all i have to do is find a place to externship to get my hours for my official dental assisting degree and expanded functions degree, and then i will be able to use my degree! :) My family came to my gradution ceremony, listened to the instructors, and we all took fun pictures with the class! This has been so much fun and it has taught me so much! i really had an amazing group of girls to work with and my instructors were hilarious and really dedicated to what they have studied!! i'm really going to miss not going to school but i am so glad to be done and to have something to work for in life....life is just so amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I went boating with my best friend liz and her family yesterday and it was super fun! It was my first time trying wakeboarding and surfing and just to say the least.......i really suck at it but i hope that i will get better later! We also went tubing and i flew off a couple of times around the really fast corners and probably bruised liz's leg bc i was trying to hold on when it was super fast! i'm just a little sore and my arms really hurt but it was all so worth it bc it was so much fun, not to mention the really weird people that were there and the dead fish we found that freaked liz out and basically made her have a heart attack from it floating on her practically.....oh yah and her mom sitting on her sandwich and squishing it!! haha! it was all just hilarious and freakin amazing!!!!!!!

I almost forgot to post pictures from saturday night mud volleyball that was so flippin amazing! i didn't think i would get that muddy but yah i was wrong! i was diving and trying to get the ball and ended up slipping and getting mud everywhere.....and i mean everywhere..... hair, eyes, mouth, teeth, in my gum and pretty much every inch of me! oh yah and i also tackled my sister and sydney but that was probably the funnest part of it all even tho the mud burned my eyes and everyone said i looked like a CHOCOLATE BAR...haha!!! it was so much fun and i really want to do it again!!!!

ok so i feel really nerdy always putting up posts about school but i always think it's fun and i learn way cool things there. This past week we learned how to make temporary crowns for bridges and they were kind of frustrating at first bc some of the first ones either fell apart or broke off .....then i would have to go through the making process all over again just to make a decent one, but i eventually got better at it. We also learned how to trim the crowns to make them smooth all around and to polish them when we were all done. i'm sure that the more i practice it the easier it will be but i did have another fun day at school and always look forward to going the next week....so i guess i'm a dental nerd if you want to call me that!

i'm really missing my boy today.....he's done something to me where i just have to hear his voice or see his amazing smile everyday! i really am missing him a lot but i know that korea is really lucky to have him there so that's why they're not letting him come home! he is a very hard working guy and i love him tons and i'm so glad that somehow we met each other......even if it was one date, but that was the best date of my life! he is truly one of the greatest examples to me and keeps me working harder each day to become better and motivates me to always give to others bc he cares so much about everybody and would give anything to make other people happy.....that's why i miss and love him so much! he is one of the most amazing people i've met!

i'm pretty much the luckiest girl alive...... i've finally found an amazing guy that always amazes me!!!! the only problem is that he's serving in the army in korea and i can't ever see him but we have decided that it's going to work.... well i definately have or he will be in so much trouble!!! i'm so glad that he has proved to me that all guys aren't a phony and that there are amazing ones left out there!!! few but yah he's probably the only one left and he's all mine!! sorry...not! :)

Today was a super fun day at school!!! yah i go for like 8 1/2 hours every saturday but i wish i had school every day bc it's too fun to be school!! today we learned how to take a full set of x rays... which was freakin 18 x rays.... and it was so fun!! we also learned how to develop the little film pieces and learned how to place them in the chart at the left!!! yah those are my teeth but i didn't get to take them.....i took somebody elses!!! i've also learned how to use the large and small suctions, load a syringe/needle, place rubber dams in the mouth, transfer instruments to the dentist, and along with the regular x rays learned how to take panaramic x rays that go all the way around the head! can't wait for school in a week!!! :)

So pretty much this is the car that i've been dreaming about...jk, but seriously i want a mazda 6 so bad!!! i printed a picture off of this car and my mom wrote on it and told me i needed to frame it because it was so freakin expensive!!! and it probably is but i want a nice care like this and i am going to save up all my money from assisting to buy one so in like a year and a half to two years or hopefully less i will have a good start on this car and will be able to buy it... ha if i'm lucky! but i would want it to be black with tinted windows, a super sweet sound system bc i luv my music, heated seats, and a sunroof... and these days, good gas mileage!! ha!

I thought i was going to Larry Selland... but yah i changed my mind again!!1 i should have known it would happen!! i'm going to ATS for dental assisting and i started on the 12th!!! i'm having so much fun and i'm so excited to actually get away from shopko and do somthing that i luv!!! i will be getting my degree on the 20 of september and then have to do 300 hours of externship for my degree!!! woot woot!!! i luv that i get to wear scrubs for pretty much the rest of my life because they are so freakin comfy... and hopefully i will get paid well for once in my life!!! :) that's my life!!!!
